Benjamin
Verdeschi
Mar 3, 1988 — Sep 5, 2023
Benjamin Verdeschi was born on March 3, 1988 in Westchester County, New York to loving parents Laurie and Al Verdeschi, and welcomed by his older brother, Vincent.
As a child in Buchanan, New York, Ben had a thirst for learning and enjoyed playing multiple sports such as baseball, basketball, football, soccer, and paintball. Always an avid animal lover, Ben had all sorts of pets including Bonnie, his own Kitty, turtles, and even a leopard gecko. Along with his family, Ben spent summers in Hampton Bays where he loved the waves, the beach, and the special relationships formed with grandparents and cousins.
In early adulthood, Ben lived in numerous cities—The Big Apple, Philadelphia, Atlanta and Seattle, while working for Public Outreach, a non-profit organization that raised money for Save the Children and other charities. His enthusiastic passion for the cause enabled him to consistently inspire strangers to hand over their credit cards for record numbers of monthly automatic donations. He rose quickly through the ranks as the organization grew. Ben had a natural gift of kindness and was a gentle, empathetic soul who had compassion for all and sought to help those in need.
Putting others first, Ben returned to Hampton Bays to be with family and pursue a career in the healthcare profession, working diligently to earn his Physical Therapist Assistant certification. Again, he took his job fully to heart, giving his all to his patients and the facility. In this timeframe, Ben met his long-term girlfriend, Danielle Arebalo, and they enjoyed years of mutual interests in animals, movies, gaming, and outdoor excursions. Ben had many hobbies including creative writing, photography, music, watching Mixed Martial Arts and investing. He was a people person with an empathetic ear, sprinkling joy with his charming smile and irresistible dimples. Along with his mom, Ben dedicated his time to ensure that his Nana lived out her final years in the comfort of her own home.
Ben is survived by his mother, Laurie Verdeschi and brother, Vincent Verdeschi; his girlfriend, Danielle Arebalo; his Uncle Roger Tritt; his Aunt Diane and Uncle Alex Eaton; his immediate cousins, Jeffrey Tritt and James and Garrett Eaton, as well as many beloved extended family members and friends. He was predeceased by his father, Albert Verdeschi, grandmother, Vern Verdeschi and grandparents, Wilbur and Florence Tritt.
