Carole Frances Mahoney, 84, of Hampton Bays New York passed peacefully at home on August 20, 2026. She was a cherished wife of 36 years, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.

Carole was the beloved only child of George and Emma Cunningham of New Hyde Park. Her genuine caring heart, cheerfulness, and humor endeared her to everyone she met.

Carole is survived by her loving husband Terrence C. Mahoney, her daughter Susan (Paul), daughter Pamela (Donald), son Richard, daughter Jackie (Peter), grandchildren Daniel, Andrew (Karen), William, Alden, Sophia, Vivian, Mikail and Anya, great-grandchildren Kiana and Oliver, and adopted son Oscar (Sondra) and his children Oscar Jose, Samantha, and Joseph.

Family will receive friends on Sunday, August 23rd from 2pm-4pm & 7pm-9pm. A graveside committal will take place at Calverton National Cemetery on Monday, August 24th at 11:30am.
