Elizabeth A. Sullivan, known to her family and friends as Bettie, died on May 20, 2026 at the age of 77. She was born on July 25, 1948 to Charles and Elsie King and raised in Sag Harbor, New York.

Bettie graduated from Pierson High School and continued her education at Kings County Nursing School in Brooklyn, New York. After graduating nursing school as a Registered Nurse she returned to her home town to begin her career at Southampton Hospital. In 1974, she married Michael Sullivan and moved to East Quogue where they raised their two daughters, Tara and Meghan. She retired from Southampton Hospital in 2017 after 48 years of service and dedication to the community where she lived her whole life.

Bettie found happiness and valued the simple things in life. She enjoyed taking long walks with her dog, Mac, spending time with her grandchildren and watching movies with her daughters. Family meant everything to her and it showed through the care and love that she gave to those closest to her.

Bettie is survived by her two daughters, Tara and Meghan, her grandchildren, Seth Jr. and Clare and her sister Patricia. 

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 26th from 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM.

A Mass of Resurrection will be at St. Rosalie's Church, Hampton Bays on Wednesday, May 27th 10:30 AM. followed by a burial in Oakwood Cemetery, East Quogue.
