G. Joyce Alberti-Clifford of Hampton Bays, NY died on March 11 at her home. She was 84 years old.

She was born in Nutley, NJ and was the daughter of Edgar and Gladys Brooks Bellows. Her parents later moved to Hampton Bays where she attended school and graduated from Hampton Bays High School.

In 1949 she married George Alberti also of Hampton Bays and they raised their family there.

Joyce worked as a bookkeeper at Schwenk's Dairy in Southampton, WC Esp in Bridgehampton and at Suffolk County National Bank.

After 36 years of marriage, she was widowed and having put her education on hold to raise her family, she enrolled in Suffolk Community College and was in the Honors Program graduating with an Associates Degree. With that education, she worked at Hampton Bays School as a teacher's aid.

She enjoyed traveling to the New England states, western New York and particularly to Alaska and Texas to visit her son and his family. She was an avid reader and also enjoyed doing sewing projects for her grandchildren.

Joyce was very active with St. Rosalie's church as an Eucharistic Minister and Lector as well as Catholic Daughters and taught CCD lessons.

In 1994 she married Cornelius "Neil" Clifford. They enjoyed traveling to family events including their grandchildren's weddings, graduations, sporting events.

She was predeceased by her first husband, George Alberti, parents, Edgar and Gladys Bellows, her brother, Robert Bellows, and granddaughter, Melanie Alberti.

She is survived by her children, George (Penelope) Alberti of Severn, MD, Lawrence (Catherine) Alberti of Agawam, MA, Peter (Judy) Alberti of Gloucester City, NJ, Gail (Cedric) Davis of Alexander, NY, Joanne (Stephen) Breckenridge of Batavia, NY, David (Wendy) Alberti of Hampton Bays, NY and grandchildren, Jason Alberti, Jeffrey (Heather ) Alberti, Andrew (Rebecca) Alberti, Kristen (Joseph) Magyar, Kimberly (Timothy) D'Amico, Alexis Arthur, Peter Alberti, Alan Alberti, Tryna Rutter, Gwendolyn (Mert)Gross, George Alberti III, Ashley Alberti and Danielle Alberti, as well as seven greatgrandchildren. Joyce is survived by a brother, Donald (Patricia) Bellows of Colorado Springs, CO. She is also survived by stepchildren, Stephen (Tracey) Clifford, Cecilia (Joseph)Garbarino, Donna Clifford, and Steven (Patricia) Stelling.

A mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Rosalie's Church on Monday at 10:30am. A interment in Good Ground Cemetery will follow the mass.
