George J. Mathys

(May 8, 1936  -  May 8, 2020)

George J. Mathys of Quogue, N.Y. and Palm Beach Fla. passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on May 8, 2020 at the age of 84 years. Beloved husband of  Mary Anne (nee Tinebra), Loving father of Debra Giuffre, Donna Mathys, Nancy Raynor and stepfather to Bruce & Craig Dalessio. Cherished grandfather of 12 and great-grandfather of 14. He was Founder and President of George's Sanitation and George's East End Recycling. Past Southampton Town Republican Chairman, Hampton Bays Fire Dept. Volunteer (ret), Past President of East End Chambers Association and Past President of the Lions Club. His memberships included the Mar-A-Lago Club, Metropolitan Club, Shinnecock Yacht Club, Westhampton Mallet Club and National Croquet Club.

Friends are invited to join the procession on Wednesday, May 13th that will depart the funeral home at 10am and proceed past numerous points of George's interest in Quogue
