Kathleen Fitzgerald (nee Mulvey) passed away on October 7, 2024 after a brief battle with cancer.  Born on April 5, 1948 in Brooklyn, NY to James and Anne Mulvey (nee O'Flaherty), Kathleen was raised in Westbury where she worked as a waitress to help support her family.  She later moved to Hampton Bays and was the namesake of the popular "Kate's Deli" which she owned and operated with her husband for 10 years.  Upon retirement, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and following high profile trials on Court TV with her beloved Boxer "Lolly" by her side.  She is survived by her loving husband Thomas Fitzgerald, sons Ian (Stephani), Thomas (Pamela), and James Boden (Maura), grandchildren Emma, Brendan, Liam, and Abigail Fitzgerald, brother Francis Mulvey, sisters Anne Dooley, Jean Mulvey Blenk and 37 nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her eldest brother James Mulvey.  Visitation is Friday, October 11th at 2-4PM and 7-9PM at R.J. O'Shea Funeral Home, 94 E. Montauk Highway, Hampton Bays.  Roman Catholic Funeral Mass on Saturday, October 12th at 10:30AM at St. Rosalie's Church, 31 E. Montauk Highway, Hampton Bays.
