Center Moriches, NY - Lena "Lee" MacDougall (nee Bortolotto), 88, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2019. Born on January 15, 1931 in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, Lee moved to NYC as an adult, then to Hampton Bays, NY where she raised her family and resided for most of her life. Lee was predeceased by her husband Howard in 1981. She is survived by her daughter Theresa (James) Bereheiko of Millstone Township, NJ, daughter Dawn of Center Moriches, NY, son Howard of East Quogue, NY and grandchildren Paige and Nicholas Bonner.
In her younger years, Lee was an avid traveler, football fan and beach lover and was always proud of her Italian and Canadian heritage. She worked in administrative positions in Canada and NYC, and various jobs in Hampton Bays, including Stern's department store and St. Rosalie's RC Church, where she was a parishioner and member of the Catholic Daughters.
Lee's final resting place will be at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetary in Burlington, Ontario, Canada where she will join her parents Antonio and Angela Bortolotto (nee Beraldo), siblings Norma Santucci and Angelo Bortolotto and beloved niece Barbara Santucci. A funeral mass is planned for St. Eugene's Roman Catholic Church in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.
Cremation was handled by the R. J.  O'Shea Funeral Home at 94 East Montauk Highway in Hampton Bays; all other state-side services are private.
