Louis A. Osti of East Quogue passed away on December 5, 2020 at the age of 82 years. Born in 1938 in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, to parents Natalia and Lodovico Osti, he was the youngest of five children. Graduating from Fordham University in 1960, he worked as a copy writer in the advertising industry for a number of years before going back to school to become a certified teacher. He held two Master's degrees - an MA in English from NYU and an MBA from LIU. From 1971 to 2004, he taught English at Hampton Bays High School, a profession he enjoyed greatly. An avid reader and a jazz enthusiast, Louis also took keen interest in the stock market and loved fishing. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Karin Osti, née Leyser, his three children - Kira, Andreas, and Julian - and his daughter-in-law Niki.
A funeral mass will be held at Immaculate Conception Church in Westhampton Beach on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at 10:30am followed by burial at Good Ground Cemetery in Hampton Bays.
