Marvin John
Siebold
Nov 18, 1925 — Feb 18, 2026
Marvin John Siebold, a long-time resident of Hampton Bays, NY, passed away on Ash Wednesday, February 18, 2026. He was born in River Falls, Wisconsin on November 18, 1925.
After high school, he came to New York and joined the Merchant Marines and took his basic training at Sheepshead Bay to become a seaman. After WWIl was over, he came to Hampton Bays to work in the Bays' theater as a projectionist. Soon after settling in Hampton Bays, he married Jean Siebold, a marriage that lasted sixty years. He was preceded in death by his wife Jean in 2008. He was the father of six children, nine grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
In 1950, he opened his own business, becoming one of the first television repairmen on Eastern Long Island. He operated under the name of Johnny's Radio and Television for 42 years.
He was very active in St. Rosalie's Parish for many years as an usher and was a Past President of the Holy Name Society. He also presided as Church Trustee for over 25 years.
He loved many sports, but his passion was surf casting. And his final wish was 'when the Lord catches me in his net, he will say I'm a keeper.'
Family will receive friends on Monday, February 23rd from 7:00PM to 9:00PM. A Mass of Resurrection will be held at St. Rosalie's Church in Hampton Bays on Tuesday, February 24th at 10:30AM. A burial in Good Ground Cemetery will follow the mass.
In lieu of flowers donations to Our Lady of the Hamptons Regional Catholic School would be greatly appreciated.
