Michael Francis Daly of Hampton Bays died on March 29th.  He was born on June 6, 1934, the son of Timothy and Margaret (O'Sullivan)Daly.  He grew up in New York City, at 17 years old he joined the Navy and after attended The School of Visual Arts.

He enjoyed 30 years at NYPD, retired as SGT in 1995.

He was a talented artist, a kind, warmhearted, friendly man who enjoyed life, family, friends, and parties.  A member of the Irish American Society of Hampton Bays, Hampton Bays Beautification Association and Friends of Hampton Bays Library.  As a member of HBBA he designed award winning "Floats" for the St. Patrick's Day Parade in Hampton Bays.

He died at home with his loving family.  He was 91 years old.

He is survived by his loving wife, Grace McCormack Daly, his sisters Maryellen Hayman, Kathy Daly-Rai and nieces Suzy DE Young and Olivia Kiidney.

The funeral services will be held at RJ O'Shea Funeral Home on Monday, April 6th from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM.  The Irish American Society service will be at 3:00 PM on Monday during visitation hours.  Mass is Tuesday April 7th at 10:30 AM. Internment at Good Ground Cemetery in Hampton Bays.
