Patricia A. Comer (née Higgins) of Eastport, New York and formerly of Bay Ridge, Brooklyn and Sag Harbor, New York, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, May 3rd, 2025. She is survived by her devoted husband, Johh; daughters, Eileen Comer and Elaine Monahan; son John; son-in-law James Kinder; daughter-in-law, Samantha; sister-in-law Dororthy Ruppert (Bill); plus five granddaughters: Kelly Mairead, Meghan Riley, Michaela,Audrey, Teagan Patricia, and Brianne Marie.Pat was the daughter of Thomas P. Higgins and Kathleen (Grogan). She is survived by her cousins. Susan Wesslan (Johan) and Jane Baxter (Michael). Pat was predeceased by her brothers-in-law, Edward and Thomas, and her sister-in-law,Mary Comer.

She graduated from Fontbonne Hall High School, Brooklyn, and St. Joseph's University. Brooklyn, with her Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education. She then received a Masters Degree in Education from Brooklyn College. She taught first grade at P.S. 127 and P.S.48 in Brooklyn.
Pat is also survived by many nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly.

Memorial Visiting will be on Thursday, May 15th from 2:00PM - 6:00PM.  A graveside service will take place on Friday, May 16th at 11:00AM at Holy Cross Cemetery in Brooklyn.  In lieu of flowers donations to the Dillon Early Childhood Study Center 239 Vanderbilt Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11205 would be appreciated.
