Theresa M. Amato of Hampton Bays, NY passed away on October 4, 2023.  She was 88 years old and predeceased by her loving husband of 50 years Peter C. Amato.  She is survived by her three children and their spouses, Joseph and Lori Amato, John and Lynn Amato and Mary Beth (nee Amato) and Frank Marino, and grandchildren and their spouses Lauren (nee Amato) and Shane Sabert, Nicholas Amato, John Peter and Gina Amato and Stephen Amato, and great granddaughter Sloan Sabert.  Terry was the 6th of 10 girls born to Joseph and Camela Russo, all born and raised in Middle Village, Queens, NY and survived by six sisters Jennie Meritt, Camille Principato, Rose Conte, Josephine Gargano, Tomasina Roe and Elizabeth Pitelli, and predeceased by sisters Marie Aquino, Christine Hand, and Irene Freddi.  Terry served the communities of Our Lady of Hope RC in Middle Village, NY for many years and then St. Rosalie's Church in Hampton Bays where she was a Eucharistic Minister and regent of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas.  Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Rosalie's RC Church in Hampton Bays on Monday, October 9, 2023 at 10:30 a.m.  Terry will be buried alongside her husband in Calverton National cemetery.  The family requests donations be made in her name to the Alzheimer's Association.
