Thomas John Peczkowski of Hampton Bays and St. Augustine, Florida died in Florida on December 30, 2020, at the age of 87 years.  He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Lorraine Walczak Peczkowski, his son Gregory and his wife Julia, his daughter Amy and her husband Greg, and 4 grandchildren Jonathan, Sara, Victoria and Thomas.

Tom was the youngest of seven brothers, born and raised in South Bend, Indiana.   After serving in the Army during the Korean War, he earned his college degree at Purdue University and taught in the South Bend school system. He earned his Master's degree from the University of Notre Dame and after teaching there for a year, moved to Hampton Bays where he lived for 50 years.  He was a respected math teacher at Hampton Bays Junior Senior High School from 1967 until his retirement in 1990.  He was a member of the Hampton Bays Lions Club and served as Treasurer for over 40 years.  Tom was a parishioner of St. Rosalie Roman Catholic Church and frequently served as an usher on Sunday mornings.

Arrangements have been made for a memorial service at St. Rosalie's Church on September 20, 2021 at 10:30am.  Following the mass the family will go to Calverton National Cemetery for Military Honors.
